Azura Biosciences

You bring the scientific question. We decode the answer.

Illuminating research with computational biology and bioinformatics. We care about your biology, not just your FASTQs.

So the sequencing data came back. Gigabytes of FASTQs sitting on a disk somewhere. Now what?

Maybe your institute doesn't have a bioinformatics platform. Maybe you're thinking about hiring a contractor for three months. Someone who won't know your biology, won't stay long enough to care, and will leave you with a hard drive full of files you can't interpret.

There's a better way.

We become your bioinformatics team. We learn your scientific question, design the analysis around it, and deliver results you can read, interpret, and publish.

The Azura Way

We learn your science first

Before touching your data, we read your papers, understand your experimental design, and ask the questions a collaborator would ask. Not a contractor.

"You seem like ELA experts from your report. I could read this for days. Incredible."

ALS Research Team, Gipuzkoa

We weren't ALS experts. We just cared enough to learn.

Deeply technical, fully scientific

We are not just bioinformaticians who run pipelines. We're scientists with backgrounds in medicine, cancer research, and computational biology, and we bring clinical intuition to computational problems.

We want to see you fly

We derive genuine satisfaction from unlocking what's hidden in your data. When your poster gets presented, your paper gets published, your patent gets filed. That's our win too.

Our clients come back because they know we're invested in their science.

What We Do

UMAP visualization of single-cell RNA-seq clusters

Single-cell RNA-seq

From raw 10x Chromium data to a clear cell atlas: annotated, clustered, visualised, and publication-ready. We handle the computational complexity so you can focus on the biology.

10x Chromium · Cell annotation · Trajectory analysis · Publication-ready figures

Spatial transcriptomics tissue visualization

Spatial transcriptomics

Gene expression mapped within tissue architecture. See how cells organise, interact, and drive disease in their native context.

Visium · Visium HD · Xenium · Integrated with Bonsai Lab workflow

Bulk omics

Who We Are

Founded by three scientists with backgrounds in cancer research and precision medicine, our company was born from a shared vision forged at the Bioinformatics Unit of the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas (CNIO) in Madrid. We believe bioinformatics is more than a set of computational tools, it is a powerful means of transforming complex biological data into meaningful discoveries that make science more accessible, engaging, and impactful. Guided by the conviction that scientific excellence does not require a cutthroat environment, we are committed to fostering collaboration, curiosity, and innovation, proving that outstanding research can thrive through teamwork and mutual support.
