Both cookies are httpOnly (not accessible to client-side JavaScript) and are not shared with any third party. Because neither cookie is used for tracking or marketing, no prior consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive.
Local Storage
Our interactive research guides use your browser’s local storage to remember display preferences (selected tabs and reader mode). This data stays in your browser, contains no personal information, and is never sent to our servers.
